Urban and Rural Title
GIS–ready dataset containing line work that shows the extent of ownership for each parcel, as indicated on the Certificates of Title registered at Alberta Land Titles, and the LINC number (descriptor) for each title. This includes all “titled” property (freehold land), crown land and unpatented lands.
Title mapping is maintained in-sync with the cadastral fabric, and both products are most often used together for municipal and emergency response planning.
Rural Title Mapping is sold by the township (provincial coverage consists of 6550 rural townships). Urban Title Mapping consists of 69 urban cities and towns, which are maintained at a higher accuracy. AltaLIS does not manage cadastral for the Cities of Calgary and Edmonton, or any Federal Lands: National Parks, First Nations, & Metis Settlements.
Rural Title is $100.00 per township. Volume discounts are available on one time purchases and updates are available as a subscription option for a fraction of the price ($18 per year). There is a bundled 50% discount off the second product when cadastral and title mapping is purchased at the same time.
Urban municipalities are available as complete files or the Order Desk will work with you to ‘cut out’ individual areas or map sheets. Urban map sheets (based on Cadastral Grid) cover 600 X 800 metres, and are $10 each.
Processing fee and GST apply.

The GIS format also includes individual Access database files in which attributes can be built for each parcel. Rural line work accuracy is +/- 3 metres, and urban is +/- 15 centimeters.
Primary hydrographic features have been digitized from the 1:20 000 topographic base.
Rural Title is available in UTM (reference meridians of 111 degrees (Zone 12) and 117 degrees (Zone 11)), and 10TM projections (reference meridian of 115 degrees), and Geographic Coordinates.
Urban Title is available 3TM (reference meridians of 111, 114, 117 and 120 degrees) and 10TM projections (reference meridian of 115 degrees).
Title mapping is available in CAD & GIS format: MicroStation Design Files (DGN), AutoCad (DWG, DXF), and Geographic (SHP). NAD83 is the datum for all title mapping.
