A license agreement is required for any type of data transaction. Licenses describe terms & restrictions on data use, including copyright, disclaimers, and ownership. Once a license is in place, multiple transactions can happen under the same agreement.
AltaLIS offers several licensing options depending on the intended use of the data. The terms and conditions are covered in Part 1 “The Agreement”, and Part 2 “Schedule A” is customized for each license.
It is not uncommon for an end user to require the services of a Third Party Contractor. The Third Party Agreement (Schedule “B”) is completed by the contractor, and data can be transferred to them once a copy of the agreement is sent to the Licensee and to AltaLIS.
AltaLIS licenses are similar to Software Licenses whereby you cannot resell or redistribute the products in an extractable format.
